GORE GALORE!

Here you will find fun, wholesome films for the entire family to enjoy! These films are the reddest, wettest titles I've come across. If your cup o' tea includes heavy duty chunkblowing, hose like crimson gushers, gut munching and other assorted acts of torture and mutilation, these movies are for you.

AFTERMATH: This twisted fucker makes "Nekromantic" look like Mary Poppins! With a run time of only half an hour, Aftermath will leave you feeling truly disgusted for watching it, yet you'll most likely rewind the tape and watch it again. A mortician decides to make his job more interesting by opening up some guys head and chest cavity, then pulling out all the organs. After weighing them, he stuffs everything back inside the gaping chest cavity (including the brain!). As if this wasn't enough, he gets the next victim (even though she's dead), and plops her up on the operating table. After performing a similar procedure as the first guy, he grabs a knife and really starts jamming it inside the dead woman's vagina. Then he drops his drawers and pleasures himself a bit before leaping up onto the table to fuck the corpse while a camera set with a timer captures this Kodak moment! What makes this even more disturbing is the lengths Spanish Screenwriter/Director Nacho Cerda' went to in order to make this look as real as possible. The effects are extremely well done, and the overall production is excellent. Not for the faint at heart!

BIOTHERAPY: A Japanese short film in the tradition of the Guinea Pig series. With no subs or dubbing, it's kind of hard to figure out what's going on, but here's the basic premise. Some nasty looking monster dude wearing an over coat and mask goes after a group of people doing research of some sort at a lab. In the opening scene, an old man has his eye pulled out in graphic detail, making the famous "Zombie eye gouge" look tame. This is just a warm up to the ultimate kill scene where some chick has broken test tubes jammed inside of her causing hose-like gushers of blood to come spraying out. Then the monster pulls her tongue out for good measure. Super gory over the top shit from those twisted Japs. As the credits roll, clips of the special effects team and their work is shown, just so you don't actually think any of this stuff in real!!! Highly recommended.

BURIED ALIVE : Joe D'Amato brings us this epic of depravity and filth. A young man very much in love with his sweetheart is devastated when she dies, so much that he digs up her corpse in an attempt to be together forever with his true love. Being a taxidermist, he embalms his dead wife in a rather disturding scene, and preserves her for those long and lonely nights when a good bottle of wine and a paperback just won't do. He does meet some new girls though, and brings them back to his place for sex. When these poor girls figure out what's going on, he kills them with the assistance of his sick house keeper, who he also shares a bizarre sexual relationship with. In one scene, the two sickos hack up one of the girls in graphic detail, and dispose of the body in an acid bath. The best "cuts" were saved for the evening stew! D'Amato ventures into some really risqué territory with this one, blending necrophillia, cannibalism and sleaze into one nasty flick that most will not admit to enjoying. D'Amato was accused of using real bodies for this film, and was brought to court. He had to convince a judge that it was actually a pig that was used for these scenes in question, not a real body. Thriller video released this one way back (around the same time as "Make Them Die Slowly") , without the presence of Elvira to present the film to viewers. If you are lucky enough to find these out of print gems, grab'em cause there ain't too many around.

CANNIBAL FEROX (aka:Make Them Die Slowly): Umberto Lenzi serves up this Italian classic that's got to be one of the best cannibal movies ever! This infamous piece of trash has shocked people around the world, causing it to be banned in 31 countries (or so the video box reads!). Some white man pisses off the wrong natives in a tribe buried deep in the jungles of South America. He decides to torture and kill a bunch of them for fun, only to have the tables turn in the end. Unfortunately some innocent bystanders get caught by the cannibal tribe who aren't too fussy about which white people they kill. Heads are split in half, cocks are chopped off, innards are ripped out and eaten, and a poor girl is even strung up on her tits. An all out gore-fest that will satisfy the most demanding carnage connoisseur. This is the follow up to Lenzi's cannibal romp "Eaten Alive", which is also heavy on the sauce, but has a bit too much animal mutilation for my liking.  Grindhouse has done a superb job on remastering this classic on laserdisk and DVD. You may get lucky and find the ultra-rare Thriller big-box version that's long out of print.  If you haven't already seen this one, check it out, and decide for yourself if it's worth all the hype.

CONTAMINATION: A cargo vessel headed on a crash course for the New York harbor is boarded by the coast guard. No one appears to be on board, except the ships crew that are found dead with their chest cavities wide open and innards spilled out. A group of men board the ship in search of clues, only to find some pulsing, throbbing green pods that burst open and spray them with some sort of goo. After being sprayed with this deadly stuff, the men start to explode in brilliant slow motion with their intestines shooting out like streamers. A group researching the pods determines that they are from outer space and someone on earth is responsible for bringing them here. Ian Mc Culloch plays an ex astronaut turned alcoholic who must stop these pods from being released and destroying the world! The final showdown between Mc Culloch and the alien cyclops monster is not to be missed! Luigi Cozzi directs this Italian-German production that's got the best exploding torsos I've ever seen. Musical score by Goblin. The domestic release titled "Alien Contamination" is missing all the gore. I managed to find a rare Canadian version with all gore intact seen here...

MERMAID IN A MANHOLE (Guinea Pig Episode): For those of you who aren't familiar with this series, it is probably the sickest collection of short films in existence. Of all the episodes (about 7 in total), this is my favorite. A painter finds a mermaid in the sewer, and brings her back to his place where he uses her as a subject for his twisted painting. As he begins to paint, her body becomes full of blisters and boils that start exploding into showers of pus. The oozing sores flow different colours, which he decides to use as paint. Worms, maggots and pus just keep flowing out of her body. The sick bastard keeps going, placing bowls under the gushers so he doesn't run out of paint. He continues until the painting is done, and so is the mermaid. Now he has no use for her, so he grabs a butcher knife and cuts her up, removing a full grown fetus in the process. Utterly disgusting, yet so over the top one can only laugh while viewing this sick production from Japan. Probably the goriest of all is "Flowers of Flesh and Blood", where a Samurai slowly dismembers a young woman who's still alive. He keeps her conscious by injecting her with some drug, then starts to disassemble her piece by piece. The special effects are so gruesomely realistic, Charley Sheen called the police after viewing this at a party thinking it was a real snuff film. What a putz! There are no sub titles, but you don't really need them to get the gist of what's going on. Just make sure the wife isn't around when you view this one, or you may find yourself sleeping on the couch for a long time!skisor2.gif (970 bytes)skisor2.gif (970 bytes)

NIGHTMARE CONCERT (aka: A Cat In The Brain): Without a doubt Fulci's goriest release ever! I know this family classic was being scooped by the fine folks at Canada customs. Fulci plays himself, a horror movie director being tormented by the graphic displays of torture and sadism being portrayed in his films. Fulci seeks help from a shrink, who goes out and kills people in the same fashion as described by Fulci in his movies! Poor Lucio doesn't know if he's going mad, or if he's actually responsible for all the grizzly deaths. Clips from some of his other films were used in this totally tasteless production featuring chainsaw dismemberments, cannibalism, rotting maggot infested flesh, naked women being sliced up and an assortment of other mutilations. The cat hand puppet at the beginning is kind of hokey, but it just adds to the overall effect of the film. Box Office Spectaculars has released this on laserdisk in North America, so throw away your Jap. dupe and get the real deal.

SEEDING OF A GHOST: Totally amazing Shaw Bros. release that's demented beyond belief! A cab driver is cursed after hitting a witch doctor who runs in front of his car. He tells the cab driver that bad luck will fall onto him after the incident. Meanwhile, his wife who's been fucking some guy on the side, gets raped and killed by some hooligans. Mr. Cab driver holds the man who was cheating with his wife responsible for her death. After a failed attempt to kill the slimeball, and a vicious attack by the thugs who killed his wife, Mr. Cab driver goes after the witch doctor who started it all. He demands a spell be cast on everyone who did him wrong, or he'll rat out the witch doctor for stealing corpses at the local cemetery. In order for the spell to work, his dead wife's body is dug up and injected with his blood. From this point on, everyone gets it big time! Bug barfing, necrophilea, nudity and a tentacle monster that pops out of a pregnant woman's stomach all make for one truly fucked up flick!

SHOGUN ASSASSIN (aka:Lone Wolf and Cub episodes 1 and 2): Compiled from the first two Lone Wolf episodes, Shogun Assassin was released by MCA in the early 80's. The juiciest bits from these Japanese samurai epics tell the tale of Lone Wolf, a samurai warrior who defies the evil Shogun. Together with his young son and a weapon clad baby cart, Lone Wolf travels the road of death, slicing up every one who tries to stop him, and believe me, quite a few poor souls give it their best shot. Every sword slice tears through flesh, releasing a super crimson guiser every time! Even an army of female ninjas try to stop Lone Wolf, but like the rest of them, they end up being chopped to bits. The final showdown involving the masters of death has got to be one of the bloodiest sword fights ever captured on film! Bloody mayhem at it's finest that must be seen!
