CARD & TAG MAKING AND GIFT WRAPPING
Whether you’re crafty or craft-challenged, this course will teach you how to make gorgeous, clever, professional-looking cards that are so spectacular, the recipient will frame them! And you will be remembered for your gift packages! The first two classes will be dedicated to card & tag making. The instructor will give a card & tag making demonstration and discuss trends and where to buy materials. Participants will learn about collage, design, colour and styles, as well as ways to fold and embellish their cards & tags and how to use decorative materials. The next two classes will be dedicated to how to gift wrap packages for any occasion. Participants will bring their own gifts to wrap at the class. The instructor will give a gift wrapping demonstration. Participants will learn about colours, styles and trends and how to use decorative materials. No materials fee. Materials and tools list: These are the materials and tools you will need for your class: 1. Scissors (big and small to cut difficult corners) 2. Paper punches (any kind) 3. Hole punch (for paper) 4. Ruler, pencil and eraser 5. Card stock and envelopes (sets are available with both) 6. Poster paper, cardboard (to make tags) 7. Glue gun and glue sticks 8. White glue (brushes, paper towels) 9. Ribbons (any colours you might have, even ribbon scraps) 10. Papers (gift wrapping, wall papers, magazine papers, scrapbooking papers, etc.) 11. Glitter (powder flakes, german glitter, glitter glue) 12. Paper and fabric scraps (felt would be great) 13. Lace, doilies (vintage and new) 14. Photos (vintage, black & white, to add to your cards) 15. Stickers (any kind) 16. Needle & thread (various colours to sew papers) 17. Scrapbooking tools (if you wish) 18. Rubber stamps and ink (any colour and shape) 19. Markers (for messages on your cards) 20. Scotch tape, raffia, thread 21. Flowers (silk, dried, fabric, millinery) 22. Apron (to protect your clothes)
