Much of the writing on the Web is done by people with no internet background. What works in other mediums does not necessarily work in this new one. There are certainly some do's and don'ts:

• don't have long paragraphs
• do vary the length of sentences
• don't repeat information when you can link to it
• do make sure the font is easy to read
• do get to the point quickly
