Our
Love Grows
Like leaves of two trees
rustling,
mingling together
in the first soft
breeze of spring
roots intertwining
trunks twisting
knotting into each other
So two separate souls unite
over the span of years

Glen's Poem to Jenn

You
are the batteries
In my flashlight Charging me up to Light up the night. You are the burner Under my frying pan Sautéed to perfection Because of my woman. We get along like Finnegan and Casey. I'm sassy Cagney To your down-to-earth Lacey You are the corkscrew Of my bottle of wine, Opening me up So I can be truly fine! Though I'm not Ward To your June Cleaver, More true to the fact, I'm rather the Beaver. I like to complain To my Dear Abby Without your kind ear I'd be perpetually crabby! You are the half Of my heart More true, more perfect Than the original part. |

Jenn's
Poem
I sit silent
Waiting
Don't want to move
Life feels perfect
Sunshine lights the room
Occupied now only by
me and sleepy
cat curled up
beside me
We wait for him
The him who's made
his home - ours.
