NOTE: I cook my stuffed turkey in pre-heated oven at 400 F. for
approx 1/2-3/4 hrs. then lower oven temperature to 325 F. based on
a 12-24 lb stuffed turkey. Spread butter or margarine, salt and
pepper over the whole turkey; I use foil wrap on bottom of
roasting pan with dabs of butter; cover turkey with foil, basting
often. Last half hour remove foil for browning and crispy top.

How to Carve a Roast Turkey |
|
The secret of perfect carving is to use a sharp carving knife or an electric knife. Cook fresh turkey at 325 F. for 20 minutes a pound if well stuffed, uncovered, or use a pop-up thermometer. After removing the turkey from the oven, let it stand for 15 to 20 minutes before carving. Cover with foil to keep it warm.
