Port Already Open
| This error is not due to the modem at all.
This occurs if an operation is already using the modem’s capabilities. This could be another program loaded up during startup or right before you went to use the modem. Try closing all other programs and try again. If that does not work: Press CTRL, ALT &DEL at the same time.
If that does not work then try: Right clicking the mouse button at the Start menu. Click on Open.
Double click on Programs
If it still doesn't work and you have WIN98
Click on the Startup tab and uncheck everything but
At this point if none of these fixes it, ask them to try it under another
computer or format and reinstall
