| - Extract the
drivers to C:\MODEM - Remove the modem from device manager if it is already installed - Restart your computer and Windows 2000 will detect a PCI serial port or PCI simple controller - Click next - Select “Display a list of all devices….” - Select “Modems” from the list - Click “Have Disk” - Click “Browse” - Browse to c:\modem. Double click on the folder inside modem - Press OK - Press OK again - For the HCF modem, select the first option “HCF speakerphone” and click next. - For the SOFT modem, select “Conexant Softk56, Data, Fax, PCI” - Click next - You will receive an error message about the drivers not being written specifically for this device. - Ignore it by clicking “YES” to accept the drivers. - Click NEXT a few times and the modem should be installed. |
