I have no sense of style..
Since my sweetie got a new perscription, we went looking for his new glasses... and I found out, that I have no sense of style... I really couldn't figure out what looked good and what didn't. 8) I guess everything looked good... ahaha... :D It seems I chose glasses that looked similar to the one he had before... not necessarily the sharper looking one. Well, we ended up getting the one that the sales people liked, which was totally different from what he had before, and more stylish... but boy, I really couldn't tell what was good and what wasn't... no sense in style. *sigh* I dread the time I have to pick my glasses, which is soon... I've had my pair waaay too long... ;)

Woohoo! Jays win!
After losing 6 games in a row... Jays won! :) Yup, I went to the Jays game last night. It was their first home game in a while, so we were all wishing they'd win last night... and they did! They were great! Especially the pitcher Castillo... he caught a hit that would've otherwise be a base hit to the left... :) Alex was hitting very well also, last night. :D

butbutbut... my goodness there were lots of kids from camp! We were up in the 500 level, surrounded by kids! I've never seen something like this before...those councellors sure got those kids wrapped around their finger... ;) They were doing all these chants... and they were catching on to other kids that were around watching the game... here are some (since I've heard them all throughout the 3 hours that I was there ;)

- Blue, blue blue, blue jays, I said, blue, blue blue, blue jays, I said... (repeat several thousand times) This one always sounded in my ear as 'boo, boo boo, boo jays! ;)

- bang! bang! choochoo train! c'mon blue jays do their thing! Aooo! Aooo! (in the tune as 'hey mickey you're so fine...') And this one had all these moves... like when they say 'bang!' they would make their hand like a pistol...

there was another one, where the councellors were yelling some stuff that I can't remember word for word, but went something like this:
Councellors: I say blue jays they kick ass! They kick
Kids: ASS! THEY KICK ASS!
Councellors: I say Texas they do suck! They do
Kids: SUCK! THEY DO SUCK!

Gosh... what are they teaching kids? They're gonna go home and swear at the parents... ;)

More wet days... =(
There's been a lot of rain this year... and it seems that it all happens during some *event* I attend. This time, it was our company summer outing. We went to a boat cruise yesterday as our outing. It wasn't the greatest, I guess...
We were first awkward, as we walked into the auditorium full of seniors who were all taking the cruise. I guess during the day on a weekday, there's always going to be people who doesn't have to work... ;) It was awkward, nonetheless. We got a little slide presentation about the river that we were going to cruise, followed by a musical presentation, which was fairly entertaining... of course we were laughing at some of the songs, since there were a lot of 'sing-alongs'. ;)
We got on the boat afterwards, and everything was pretty relaxing... It was a small boat that fits maybe 60 people. The inside was the dining area, and there was an outside, which had chairs where we can sit. We were on the boat for maybe about an hour... when we started to eat lunch, it started raining! Sure, we were all inside, but there was not much to see outside, with the murky water and rain... too bad it rained!
After the lunch, we ran out of things to do... the rain had stopped a bit afterward, but it was cold, and there was not too many things we could do other than talk and drink. We all wished for playing cards! The rain cleared up, and the sun came out around... oh, maybe half hour before docking? The timing was not too good yesterday... ;)

The timing got even worse as we got off the boat, to get on the bus heading home... our bus broke down maybe 20 min. into driving! Lots of smoke coming from the back side of the bus... ;) We all ended up waiting for another bus to come pick us up... eek!

All in all, I guess it wasn't the greatest of trips, but I had some fun, and got to know some of the newer co-workers that I don't usually talk to. :) It was certainly an interesting experience!

...and one more thing that is bothering me... we were watching 'three kings' on the way there and on the way back... but since the bus broke down, i never got to see the ending...I wonder what happens?! ;) Somebody have this tape??? ;)

Fun & *wet* day at the zoo...
Yesterday, I went to the zoo with my sweetie. It's always been a tradition for us to go to the zoo every year... we wanted to see the baby giraffe that was born just only 10 days ago. But even as we left, the weather was not too good... it was spitting, as we drove down. (ptui ptui! ;) We were thinking, how many other crazy people would be going to the zoo?! but, when we got there, we noticed lots of cars... so we proceeded to go inside. :) All in all, we didn't get too wet -- we went through many of the pavillions, plus we got to see the giraffe! The baby was sooo tall... and only 10 days old! Wow... of course, giraffe babies are in the womb a lot longer (15 months, I think it said) so, it is understandable! ;)

My main reason for going to the zoo has always been the Red Panda (or the Lesser Panda). They're sooo cute... we visited that area in the very beginning, and saw one of them sleeping high up on the tree... but then we went back before we left, and we were stalking (?!) the 2 red pandas who were both walking around ... They're sooo cute... We saw them very close... and they're like a furry stuffed animal... I want one I want one! ;)

lala-laaaaa! (^^;
Yesterday was a very music-oriented day. Me & my sweetie went to see the jazz festival down by the beaches and had a lot of fun walking around the park, listening to music and enjoying the atmosphere. We generally like it down here, so we were going into stores too, and shopping around... My toy for the day -- a hand-held fan for $4 ... very kewl, complete with a light! It came very useful since it was rather hot... too bad we couldn't stick around at night, when they close down the whole street to have a street party... but we had a better plan... ;)

We met up with 6 other friends (P-chan, Dai-chan, Chi-chan, Genny, Kenji, and Yousuke?) for dinner, and then off to Karaoke! :) We met up with couple of others for karaoke... it was fun singing again... even though I was still recovering from my cold, I sang as if there is no tomorrow... ;) We were there for 3 full hours (3 hours and 15 min. to be exact) and by the end... I have lost my voice... (^^; Such a stress-reliever, though!

Funfunfun!
I went to see the movie 'X-men' finally yesterday. I had been wanting to see it for a while, even though I never read the comic book and I've only seen a few episodes of the cartoon version. (but endless hours spent on the game centre version of x-men the game... ;)
It was pretty good, I've heard mixed reviews on it, but I liked it. Nice action movie, with lots of CG which I like. :) All in all, I had fun watching it with my friends... :D We had ice cream after the movie, which is always a plus... mmm... yum.
There's singing for me in the near future... woohoo! (soon you'll find out what I mean... ;)

saaawry!
I haven't been updating this web page, and most of all, I haven't been updating the diary! I am soooo bad... *sigh* But I do have a reason for it... I have been under deadlines, and I was also sick! I caught a cold from one of my 2 team mates... (^^; They're both sick! One brought a cold back from Hong Kong... in any case, I have a cold too... (>,) I had a fever on wednesday, so I left work around lunch... and I also stayed home on thursday... so I have been in bed a lot... (-_-zzz... but not to worry, I'm feeling much better now, so I should be by the computer more often this week... (^^; (which isn't the greatest thing, considering I'll probably die from the bad rays coming from the monitor... ;)

As for my busy week and all... my deadline for work and volunteer has come and gone... and everything is back to normal again at home... so I should have more time for myself... yaaay! I can go out and play!

Weekend? What weekend???
My weekend went past as though it was never here... What did I do this weekend?! I seem to have gotten through the weekend without doing too many things that are fun and still manage to be very very tired.. ;)
I worked this weekend (yesterday) and found out that working on sundays are really relaxing since there are hardly anybody here. I just saw maybe a couple of people... that's it! I can listen to music on my speakers for once, and work... that's pretty kewl. :) I think I can get more done on the weekend then during the week... ;) No e-mails to reply to, nobody on icq... ;) It's total quiet... how weird.
I had a nice stroll around the park yesterday... it made me realize how long i haven't been to a park... it's actually warm enough now to go to parks, and I guess through my busy schedule i forget! I think I should go to parks more often to relax. :)

ohohoh... I forgot to mention on the previous entry... I went to see a band called 'Flashing lights' before the fireworks! I forgot to mention until I read my friend's diary... ooops! ;) They were kinda kewl... a real fun band to listen to, too bad it was a little chilly.

Busy busy busy... as always...
It's thursday already! I wanted to write about how much fun I had this weekend... and another weekend is coming close. My goodness it has been busy... ;)

On saturday, I went to the street festival in downtown Toronto. :) I was walking up and down the longest street in Canada, and playing around with all sorts of booths... there was so much to see! I went to this last year by accident... but this year, we planned it and we walked for a good half day. I bumped into my co-workers on the street too... lots of fun! I volunteered to be in the proposed 2008 Toronto Olympic games... can you imagine? I will be 3* years old... =b Maybe by then, I would be too tired to volunteer, if the games gets hosted here. ;)
At night, I met up with a couple of friends for dinner... (mmmm... great place chi-chan!) and then headed off to see the fireworks. (sorry you couldn't come, Jane-kuma! ;) Fireworks was nice... but it was too cold! I wonder who won...

Loong journal today... also went to see Mission: Impossible 2 this weekend. He's soooo cute... mmm.. :D [protect myself from being nudged by Huey ;) ] He was all Jackie Chan-ish by the end, though! My kind of movie! He's all action star, now!

Good things happen to people who do surveys...
I did the Great Canadian survey at the Kinder Surprise site (www.kindersurprise.com) and... I won a gigantic kinder toy! :) I just received it today... woohoo! It made me very happy to see that in my mailbox (those people sent it to me within 2 weeks! wow!) I was all excited that I get to eat chocolate... aaaand... *gasp* where's my chocolate?!?! I had a letter from the nice people who sent me the toy, and a gigantic plastic egg -- what you get inside of the chocolate! I see reminisence of chocolate ('cause I see brown and a little white) but noooo chocolate coverings!!! Eeek... what, kinder people were too hungry, that they ate my chocolate?! ;) ;) ;)
Hehehe... that's ok... they spent $2 to send me a free toy, I am happy. :D sooooo... if you get the chance, enter the survey... you might get a toy in your mailbox, too! Thanks Kinder Surprise! (Ferrero company... I think...)
