Whaaaaaat's up?

Today's been a horrible weather here... rain and lots of wind (I broke my umbrella! eek!) and, basically it's been a storm. But, somehow, being inside and away from it all, just hearing the wind and rain noises, it's very... soothing. :)

04.21.00 - woohoo! Looong weekend!
Wow! 2nd entry of the MONTH! I've been looking at my journal, realizing that... I only update my journal like.. once a month, if I'm lucky! My goodness... and I complain that my friends don't update their sites... I think I should start updating my web page, too! (definitely need a new layout... it's getting cluttered around here! ;)
I have a *RANT* today... it's about MTO... I got my new driver's licence, since my 5 years was up on my birthday... i went to renew my lincence about... oh, about a month ago, and I finally got it today. It's obvious from the RANT, that... the picture was horrible looking! I look like... I'm mad! I have this... "What are you staring at, punk!" look!!! *sigh* I look at it and there's me staring back at me in this mean, glaring look... and i start laffing. :D ahahaha... (*^^*) I can never show this to anybody!!! My last one was pretty good... I have this little smirk on my face, because I went with my friend who was trying to make me laugh. That one turned out well, even though I had to wait an hour to get it. But this one... it took 10 minutes... and the lady who was taking the picture was 2 booths away from where I stood - how was I suppose to know when she was going to take a picture?! I am very offended... and since they do this by computer now, I have a suggestion - why can't *WE* take the picture? After we take the picture and we look at it, and if we're satisfy with it, then we can line up and do the rest of the procedure... what's wrong with that?! I'm stuck with this licence for 5 years... if anyone knows how I can get a new picture... please send suggestions my way! ;) ;) ;)

I feel like I'm on a deadline lately. (well, I am... ;) Even updating this web page that not many people read, I somehow feel like I have to update (and I want to update) and yet I have no time to actually sit down and do so. It's driving me up the wall!!!! Why can't I have time?!?! I'm going to break down soon... I hope work lets up a little soon...

04.16.00 - somebody pleeeeze take me out!
I'm dying to have some fun lately. It's been 2 weeks since the big party at 'loo... and now I am sooo tired of working again. I'm looking forward to my easter long-weekend where I have nothing planned and probably end up sleeping for the whole weekend... which will probably end up being depressing, since I'd be probably watching Easter specials of Martha Stewart, Nik's Savoir Faire and Peanuts... ;) Boy, do I ever need a life... [cue to everyone out there... take poor Aya out for some fun...] It can't be helped... everybody is busy these days... exams for some, going out of country for others... aah! I wanna go out of country too... I need a vacation... (-_-zzz..

02.29.00 - I'm back! ;)
It's been almost 2 months since I updated my web page. So much for New Year's resolutions. ;) But it sure has been one busy year so far. Preparing the release of a product I've been working on for more than a year has been taking most of my time at work for a couple of months. It's not out yet, but hopefully soon we'll get it out.
Then there is the factor of many things going around my co-workers. Let me explain. In the last 2 months, one of my co-worker got married, another one is pregnant and is having a baby in about a month, and another co-worker is leaving the company. Everybody is changing around me while I am happily stationary... it is sooo weird. ;)
After a whole 2 months... I am updating my web page again. I have been busy with parties, karaoke singing and straightening up my personal life... yes, I have decided to better myself - I have joined a gym. ;) I just joined today... so I haven't gone there yet. But hopefully things would turn out alright and in the next year or so... I'd be more fit! ;) I figure, this way, I'd get my confidence up (hopefully) and more motivation to work (and to update my web page, of course! ;) Will it work? Well... if you notice any transition the next time you see me... and think, "boy, Aya looks better! she doesn't look all so tired anymore!" -- that, will be my ultimate goal. (oh, and to lose weight... but I am not thinking about that for now... ;) Wish me luck!

12.31.99 to 1.1.00 - Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!!! Happy 2000 without any y2k bugs! I took a whole week off from work, from 25th on to January 2nd. I thought I'll have all the time in the world to do stuff... like watch videos that are stacking up waiting for me to watch, go shopping for clothes and shoes that I desperately need, and just have time to sit down and relax... so what happened??? Christmas happened. Since it's holidays and all... it's been soooo busy!
I celebrated my new year with no one other than my sweetie... :D We went down to harbourfront for the Benson & Hedges symphony of fire fireworks. New year with a bang! Wow, it was sooo much fun! So many people there, just enjoying the fireworks... We didn't get to hear the countdown... but we knew when the clock stroke 12... because the sky lit up totally green... because of all the biiiig huge fireworks. We got to stand right in front, close to the 3rd boat out of 4 that was doing the fireworks. It was totally amazing. We usually go see the fireworks, but it's never this huge... this is 4 times as large, since there are 4 boats...
After all the fireworks was over, everybody walked up Yonge. We were heading back to my bf's place for a retreat, since the cars were not going anywhere... because of all the crowd walking down the street... where are these people going??? We all walked up Yonge, screaming "Happy New Year!" and blowing whistles... if I ever went to the Blue Jays victory walk on Yonge Street in '92 or '93... I bet this is how it felt. It's just another day, but so much significance of the day... it's funny, when you think about it.
