International Tools



'International tools' like the knife once existed only where
similar needs led to their invention in every culture.

With the growth of trade, products were established which carried
the same name everywhere with them. Everywhere east of
Istanbul, the name for tea is 'chai,' the name used by its original
salesmen as they introduced it.

With industrialisation, cross-cultural international tools have
become the norm. As products are introduced to the world
market, they take the same form, and the same name,
everywhere at once. These products include most modern
home appliances, computers, cars, industrial machinery
and sports equipment.

It has become possible for peoples everywhere to eat the
same diet, wear the same clothes and even maintain the same
temperature inside the home.
