ToolToys

While toys never become tools, any tool can be used as a toy.
A kitchen chair can be laid on its side and covered with a
blanket to make a tent. Tools are also copied in toy form and
doll size chairs are available. However, a kitchen chair does
not normally invite fun and a doll chair is not usually of
practical comfort.

But some chairs are both practical and fun. A toddler entering
a strange room for the first time will make a bee-line for a Wink
chair, and climb onto it without hesitation, certain that it is a
toy intended for her use.

The Wink is indeed a toy. It is amusing. It has surprising,
movable parts, round corners and bright colours. It is soft and
tactile. But the Wink is also a real chair. It is an effective tool
in terms of every characteristic of comfort and structure.

The Wink is both a tool and a toy; it is a ToolToy.
