What is a ToolToy?


ToolToy is not an excuse for greater consumption of yet more
goods all in the latest style.
 
With ToolToy, we seek to increase the lasting satisfaction
gained from products by users. In a ToolToy, proper function
and playful attitude are equally important; both work in
harmony to endow function with emotion.
 
In marketing terms, a ToolToy is an implement that serves to
satisfy the social and/or personal needs of the user, as well
as the physiological and safety needs.
 
In short, Apollo and Dionysus join forces in the ToolToy
concept. Reason does not have to take precedence over
emotion, but can be demonstrated to cohabit with it in the
same design.
