English Pastor- Qualifications and Responsibilities

Brampton Chinese Baptist Church, a member of CBOQ, has an immediate opening for an English Pastor, with emphasis on youth/young adult ministry. Your primary responsibility will be to minister to a congregation of about eighty to ninety (80-90) English-speaking members, consisting mainly of youth/young adults.

Qualifications:

	A strong passion for youth (junior and senior high, college and university, young career) ministry
	Previous experiences in youth ministry
	Strong leadership, enthusiastic, good interpersonal skills and a team worker
	A good communicator with people of all age groups, particularly youth and young adults
	A graduate of a recognized theological seminary
	Accept the doctrines and practices of Baptist Tradition
	Have a good understanding of Chinese culture and tradition

Responsibilities:

You will be working under the direction of the Senior Pastor and accountable to the Executive Board of BCBC in the following areas but not limited to:

	Responsible for the weekly Sunday English worship service
	Responsible for Bible study, counseling, local outreach, organizing fellowships, planning youth programs
	Help members to be mature Christians through the Word of God
	Leadership Development- Recruit, equip and train future ministry workers and leaders
	Lead in weekly Prayer meeting
	Lead in weekly visitation of current members and new comers
	Provide spiritual leadership to the member
	Define the goal and mission of the English Ministry

	One church with three (3) congregations: English, Cantonese, Mandarin
	Attendance: 200-240 total of all three congregations
