 William Huxter was married and lived at
Spaniard's Cove in 1826. After a few years he
moved to Catalina and had five children. William is
buried at Trinity. Nathaniel, William's
son, lived and fished at Catalina and Port Union all his
life and is buried at Catalina.
William's second son Stephen fished at Catalina and then
at the age of 24 he married
Rachael Brown at Herring Neck. Stephen and Rachael had
one son at Herring neck and
then moved to Little Bay and had two daughters. In 1865
he moved his family back to
Catalina and had two more daughters. In about 1870 he
moved again this time to Seldom
Come -By and had three sons. In 1880 he moved his family
again to a mining town at
Bett's Cove and when the mine closed he moved again to
Wolf Cove ( Springdale ) in
1884. Stephen is buried at Springdale. In 1886 Stephen's
four daughters waved good-bye
to their three brothers on the shores of Wolf Cove and
never returned to Nfld.
