Meagan (founder) has been a hardcore salsera for over 10 years. Performing professionally from the age of nine with Martin Samuels' troupe fueled Meagan's serious Latin dance habit. The following years brought associations with various Toronto troupes including Youthbeat and Grupo Amazon, as well as solo and partner shows throughout the province. Add to this a variety of teaching engagements - Arabesque Academy, Royal Ontario Museum, special workshops, Ryerson University, plus a children's program offered through the City of Toronto. - which brought Meagan full circle in 2000, when she founded her own troupe. TropiCaliente - a perfect forum for indulging her love of creation and choreography… and her desire to share the joy of Latin dance!
