OnLine Jackpots:

The Best Place to Play for Them

Why is a blackjack player writing about onLine jackpots? When Casino Toronto got in contact with me I was quick to inform them that I am one of Toronto's best blackjack players. They listened. I told them about my book Aces and Faces Blackjack. They listened. I told them about my interest in sports betting. They took me up on the sports betting article, and asked me for a second article on onLine jackpots. They were very interested in the write up I gave the SupaJax game in last months Blackjack Professional Newsletter. Always ready for a new challenge, I accepted, with one condition. I will be telling the truth, the hole truth, and nothing but the truth about the odds. Casino Toronto's reply? "Go for it."

The WORST game in any casino is their slot games. You will often see that the easier a game is to play, the easier it is to lose your money at while you play. The game is fast and this means that your coins are going through the machine at lightening speed. Over at the blackjack table I have a minimum $10 bet down because there are less 10's and Aces than there should be left in the deck (you know I had to say SOMETHING about blackjack). During the time I am playing that hand the slot machine player pulls the handle, or presses the button 12 times. If they are playing a $1 machine that offers you a jackpot for playing 3 coin you are playing 12 x $3 or $36 in action.

Each game has a built in edge that makes the casino money. If you know how to play blackjack (basic strategy) then this edge is only .5% for the casino. If you count cards you can get an edge of around 1% or so. If you can track Aces and Faces through the shuffle, you can get an even bigger edge, but this article is about slots. Slots have an edge of around 3-5%, ten times the edge that blackjack has. Every time you put $100 through the slot machine you can expect $95-97 back out. Playing triple coin putting $100 through a machine should only take you a few minutes. Each time you put $100 through, the games edge eats your coins until they are all gone, or you hit a jackpot.

Now, all of this information will not stop people from playing a slot machine, just like knowing the odds of winning the lottery are 17 million to 1 will not stop people from playing the lottery. Knowing that people will continue to play the slots because they like the thrill of trying to win a jackpot, I think they owe it to themselves to be playing slots onLine.

The typical slot player will pull $20 to $200 (or more) out of their wallet or purse, sit down in front of their favorite slot machine and start spinning those reels hoping they will line up and the machine will begin making as much noise as three kids in front of a Christmas tree on the 25th of December. They have set their limit to the maximum amount they are willing to lose for a chance that day on a winning jackpot. Every once in a while they will return and take another shot at it.

Slot players that do not play onLine are really missing the boat. By playing onLine, slot players can double their chances and playing time, and get a chance at some huge US jackpots. Take a look to the left. Cash Splash is the most famous onLine jackpot. Click the arrow button beside "Choose Casino." Every one of these casinos will match your deposit. You put in $100, they will give you another $100. You start off with double your money, and you can pick which jackpot you want to play. This does not happen at an onLand casino and never will. They have hydro bills and pit bosses to pay, onLine casinos do not. No parking lots, no heating or air conditioning bills. All of that money is given to the onLine players to enjoy.

There are 25 different casinos on this page. Each one of them offer around $100 in free bonus money. That works out to $2500 in free coins. Instead of playing for $100 next time around you could be playing for $200 on the same money. I normally play an even game by playing blackjack and end up taking my deposit and the bonus money when I am done playing. I have also played with the first $100 until I have lost it then put in the rest of the play in with blackjack still taking my deposit out untouched. One of these days I might just hit the Major Millions jackpot. I get to play slots for free, and if I do hit the jackpot, that will sure make up for a lot of blackjack hands. Major Millions is around $505,000 US right now. That works out to about a zillion Canadian dollars eh?
