Exhibition Game a Burnout!

DO NOT PLAY BLACKJACK AT THE CANADIAN NATIONAL EXHIBITION! To very important rules that were not disclosed over the phone when we called to research this game were for good reason excluded from the conversation. ALL TIES GO TO THE DEALER! This alone blows the game out of the water adding about 9% to the house advantage! NO INSURANCE BETS. Although the Basic Strategy player does not take Insurance, the counter does, and this kills about 30% of their extra advantage plays. The overall edge enjoyed at this casino is around -10%, twice as bad as Roulette!

Keeping Your Perspective About Blackjack

Being dedicated to winning the game of Blackjack can cause some serious changes in a person's thinking. Every so often it is a good idea to take a reality check and evaluate what you are doing with the game in and out of the casino. We play to make money, and the game is fun as well. Can you make more money doing other things? YES. Can you have more fun doing other things? YES.

Over the last four months I have played the unlisted stock market and averaged around 30% profit. Breaking up my bankroll the same way we do for playing Blackjack into 10% stakes, an increase of 30% works out to a 3% gain for the entire bankroll. Done 3 times, this is 9%. Done within 4 months each time, 3 times 9 is 27% overall for the bankroll, while 70% of it remains safe gaining about 4-5% in interest payments! The fact is, there are many other ways to make more money than playing Blackjack.

Regardless, when a winner goes into a casino for entertainment, s/he plays Blackjack. Just as many professionals in the business world spend their time playing Golf, we play the game you CAN win. Some people make a living playing Golf, most don't. Some people make a living playing Blackjack, most don't, but we can and do enjoy making money while we entertain ourselves in a casino.
