SCS/SB 13 - This act provides certain revisions to the criminal law on animal fighting. The crime is restricted to cock fighting and specifically includes the following: (1) conducting or participating in any cock fight if at least one cock has an implement attached to its body; (2) charging admission to any cock fight; (3) wagering or permitting wagers on any cock fight; (4) consuming or permitting consumption of alcohol or drugs at a cock fight; (5) giving or accepting any item of economic value based on the result of any cock fight; (6) renting property for the purpose of cock fighting; and (7) selling any product before, during or after any cock fight.

Cock fighting is a Class D felony. A spectator of a cock fight is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor for a first offense and a Class D felony for any subsequent offense.
