During the first fall in the Gaspe, Rock took each of the women to be his wife. Rock pointed out that he was following the example set by Old Testament kings. Saul, David and Solomon had all created great families by taking many wives. As Rock played out his sexual fantasies with his "wives", he abandoned his holistic lifestyle. No longer a vegetarian, Rock was suddenly consuming tons of meat and devouring Pepsi and potato chips as if they were going out of style. At the same time, the commune members were worked hard. If you want to be a man, you have to learn how to teach your woman a lesson." Rock threatened to do the job himself , Jacques in tears grabbed the ax. He aimed carefully and severed one of his wife's small toes. After that Jacques became Rock's main commune enforcer. In November 1980, Guy Veer a mental patient from Quebec City heard about Rock and his followers living on "Eternal Mountain". He decided to join the commune to escape from society. Guy was ordered to live in a storage shed where Samuel, Jacque's son lived. Samuel was treated like an animal because he wasn't born to Rock. He ordered Jacques to roll him naked in the snow when he cried. The young child's feet turned purple and his penis swelled up from sleeping on the cold ground. While partying , Rock decided he was going to circumcise young Samuel with a razor. He poured several ounces of almost pure ethanol into Samuel's mouth, the next morning Samuel was found dead. Rock and Jacques decided that Samuel had to be incinerated. The story Rock and his followers told the police was that Guy Veer had in fact killed the boy. Supposedly the boy wouldn't stop crying , so Guy punched the lad five or six times with his fist. The next morning the boy was found dead. Months later, while drinking Rock held a kangaroo court. He blamed Guy for the death of Samuel and decided he should be castrated. Guy Veer told the story of the castration to the Quebec police several months later."They asked me questions about what happened with Samuel the night I hit him. Afterwards Moses (Rock) explained to me that my headaches could be caused by the pain in my left testicle, and he offered to take out my testicles because I had hit the child and because of what had followed the hitting. He explained to me the hierarchy that existed in the group. I was a slave , and following the removal of the testicles I would become a sterile eunuch. I accepted and I signed a consent form. Moses told me that if I did not want to sign , he would not make me . He made me take alcohol , about two or three glasse s, and he installed an elastic band around my genitals.
