We arrived at my buddy Guy's place just south of Parry Sound and unloaded are machines and headed for Sudbury. Needless to say we didn't make it to Sudbury, as we got farther away from Parry Sound and started hitting a few lakes and swamps, the fun began. There was slush everywhere this was the good part of the trail, since this part was actually open and then just south of Britt we hit a section that wasn't opened up yet...I mean not even one sled had been through here yet.
Well Mark ended up getting his machine stuck in a swamp and it took us about two hours to get it out.
By this time it was dark and getting pretty cold so we decided to back track out to hwy 69 and try to get some help. Luckily the groomer guy Arthur that we had talked to earlier and asked directions came looking for us. By now the machine that was stuck won't start or move. We thought it was frozen. Well, Arthur had us put the machine on his truck and I followed him back to his house where he put both machines in his garage. He then drove us to the Britt hotel were we met everyone in the place and had a great time.
The next day, after a great breakfast, some guys that we met there gave us a ride back to Arthur's place. When we got there, Arthur had both machines cleaned up and ready to go. After that little fiasco it was nice to see some half decent trails so we made it to Sudbury no problem. The next day we headed for North Bay and had a pretty good time there. And the last day headed back to the truck and trailer that we left south of Parry Sound.
