The British Museum

British Museum I am not a museum fan but this time I did visit the British Museum, off Tottenham Court Road. The only thing I could remember from my childhood was the mummies. Gruesome, yes! The biggest draw were the "Elgin Marbles," a reconstructed Greek temple, dramatically lit. I'm not a fan of ancient Greek architecture but this was impressive.

For me, the most interesting exhibit in the British museum by far is the Rosetta Stone. For those who don't know, the Rosetta Stone is the artifact that allowed scholars to understand many heiroglyphics. It doesn't sit in any special place but people stand around it, staring. We have so much to learn...
