Why not share those ideas with CECC’s Fundraising Committee or Program Committee?  If you are interested in fundraising and special events, we invite you to join the CECC Fundraising Committee, where volunteers get to participate in the fun of all CECC’s fundraising events, craft markets, Auction, Health and Beauty Day, etc.   If you are interested in programs and would like to help create a stronger Centre, please consider coming aboard the CECC Program Committee.  Each Committee meets for one hour, one evening per month to brainstorm ideas and plan events and programs.

Give a little time, and get a lot of satisfaction back!

 CECC’s 50+ Program is seeking volunteers for a number of interesting positions.  The 50+ Program Advisory Committee meets one afternoon a month.  Your feedback and ideas are invaluable.

Would you like to present a program or lead a class?  Share your skills and experience with us. The 50+ computer lab needs volunteers to help our older adults gain computer experience (on an on-call basis).

Do you have a pleasant and helpful telephone manner and want to use your customer service experience?  From mid-February 1020 until the end of April 2010, we need volunteers to book appointments and make reminder phone calls for the Income Tax Clinic.  Various shifts are available.

If you have some spare time in March and/or April 2010 please consider volunteering as an Income Tax Preparer for CECC's Income Tax Clinic.  We are looking for people who can volunteer at least once per week for a minimum of 4 weeks.  Training will be provided to augment your current knowledge of basic income tax returns.

We need strong backs and helping hands to set up and take down for CECC's community events throughout the year (draft markets, program events, annual general meeting, the auction and more).  You would move furniture/toys to and from the program room; arrange chairs, tables in the designated program room and help with cleaning up after the event is over; return all furniture/toys to their original place.  Heavy lifting is involved.  A requirement of 20 hours commitment is needed for each event.  Volunteers can leave in between set-up and break-down.  Special events occur four to five times a year.
