About the Practitioner, Sharon Lennox
I have journeyed Spiritually with
Native Canadian/American people over the past fifteen to twenty years. I have
been fortunate to connect with, and be taught by Traditional elders and
Medicine people of the Sioux, Ojibway, Blackfoot, Cree, and Dene Nations. Being
part of, and witnessing many Healing and Spiritual experiences have blessed my
life.
I feel my life was carefully directed into nursing, social justice issues, and definitely most importantly, into the Native culture, which guided me further into healing work through Healing Touch. It was the Native way of Seeing and Being that allowed me to recognize Healing Touch as the method I was to use. These experiences have touched and changed my life in very profound ways.
I was given the opportunity to learn and see from “my own experience” the magnitude of reality. This, along with my life as a registered nurse, was the needed background for Healing Touch. My experience in nursing has been over many years and ranges from post-operative surgery, to a broad experience in a small hospital, Pediatrics, and presently Palliative Care nursing.

The Event/Circumstance That Guided Me to Healing Touch:
I would like to share the final
event of my journey to Healing Touch with you. A good friend of mine (a United
Church Minister) was diagnosed with lung cancer in a November. Her cancer was
advanced and nothing could be done for her medically. She did die the following
February but she said the only thing that gave her relief during that time was
Healing Touch Treatments. These she received from her “family medical doctor”.
Not all healing is about the healing of the body, but often is the healing of the emotional, mental and/or Spiritual which is paramount. I felt there was a message in this experience for me and quickly researched and found a Healing Touch course and enrolled. I knew this door had been opened with purpose for me. My friend also gave me an experience after her death that has allowed me an absolute knowing of the Human Spirit after the physical.
