A BRIEF HISTORY

The Royal Regiment of Canada was formed in 1939 (formerly The Toronto Regiment, formerly The 10th Royal Grenadiers) and is located at historic Fort York Armoury in Toronto, Ontario. It has represented Canada in peacekeeping missions around the world and in relief effort within Canada. Sorrel Company of the Royal Regiment of Canada is the regiment's cadet corps. The cadet corps was founded in 1963 and continues to build new leaders of our armed forces for tomorrow.
