ANNO REGNI VICTORIÆ BRITANNIARUM REGINÆ QUADRAGESIMO
QUARTO.
AT the General Assembly of the Province of New Bruns-
wick begun and holden at Fredericton on the twenty seventh
day of February Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred
and seventy nine, in the forty second year of the Reign of
Our Sovereign Lady Victoria, by the Grace of GOD, of the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, De-
fender of the Faith, and from thence continued by several
prorogations to the eighth day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty one, being the Third Session of
the Twenty fourth General Assembly convened in the said
Province.

CAP. XXXI.

An Act to alter the Boundary Lines of the Parish of Saint Croix, in 
the County of Charlotte.


Sec.
1 Line between Parishes of Saint
   Croix and St. David defined.
2 Line between St. Croix and Par-
   rishes of St. Patrick and Dum-
   barton defined.
Sec.
3 Part of Cap. 2, Consolidated Sta-
   tutes, repealed.
4 When Act shall come into force
   not to interfere with collection
   of Rates during present year.
Passed 25th March, 1881.


     BE it enacted by the Lieutenant Governor, Legislative
Council, and Assembly, as follows :-

    1. The dividing line between the Parishes of Saint Croix
and Saint David, in the County of Charlotte, is hereby altered
as follows, viz : -- Beginning at the southwest angle of Lot
number four (No. 4) granted to James Christie, thence east
to the easterly line of said lot, thence north to the northeast
corner of lot number eight (No. 8) granted to J. Garcelon,
thence east till it intersects the southwest line  of a lot granted
to Daniel Hill, thence west to the southwest corner of said
lot, thence along the north line of that lot to the northwest
angle thereof.

    2. The dividing line between the Parish of Saint Croix
and the Parishes of Saint Patrick and Dumbarton is hereby
altered as follows, viz : -- Beginning where the dividing line
between the Parishes of Dumbarton and Saint David strikes
the prolongation westward of the north line of lot number
three (No. 3) granted to James McFarlane, thence easterly to
and along the northerly boundary line of that lot, thence
southerly along the east line of that lot and its prolongation
to the southeast angle of a lot granted to John H. Armstrong,
thence westerly to the southwest angle of that lot, thence
southerly along the northeasterly line of a lot granted to
William Reading, thence southeasterly to a northeastern line
of a lot granted to Rachel Mowatt, thence southeasterly along
the said line to the northeastern angle of the said lot, thence
at right angles southwesterly along the southeastern line of
the said lot and its prolongation to the northeast line of lot
number four (No. 4) granted to Maxwell Loury, thence south-
easterly along said line to the northeastern corner of said lot
number four (No. 4), thence at right angles southwesterly
along the southeast line of the said lot number four (No. 4)
and its southwestern prolongation till it intersects the division
line as at present established between the said Parishes of
Saint Croix and Saint Patrick.

    3. So much of Chapter (2) two, Consolidated Statutes,
'The Division of the Province into Counties, Towns, and
Parishes,' as is inconsistent herewith and repugnant hereto,
is hereby repealed.

    4. This Act shall come into full force and effect on the
first day of July next, but nothing herein contained shall be
held to interfere with the collection of rates or assessments
is either of the said Parishes, or with the duties of the Par-
is Officers, during the present year, nor shall it be held to
relieve either of the said Parishes from any debts or liabilities
now due by or to them or either of them.
