Scott Dagostino was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, and moved to Toronto to attend university, studying English, Psychology and Criminology.

During that time, he worked in two of Toronto's most distinctive bookstores -- Glad Day Bookshop and the late, lamented Albert Britnell Bookshop -- honing a love of books and their readers.

Since then, he's been a feature writer for Fresh -- a new national magazine for young Canadians; the Public Affairs Coordinator at the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy; a volunteer reader with the Toronto-based charity Performers for Literacy; a way-temporary intern at Bravo! TV; a telephone counsellor; and, somewhere in there, a writer.

In between all that, the devout movie buff has enjoyed coffee shop banter with friends, good books, British TV, a too-large CD shelf and his gym's yoga and karate classes.

As he continues to develop his smart and engaging writing style, he looks forward to achieving spiritual enlightenment or paying off his student debt -- whichever comes first.
