Masquerade 002
December 15, 2002 Some Notables regarding the 'Brothers' as I call them (002 & 001): Although Masquerade 001 & 002 are the same sail shape, they have different frame sets & different bridles. Thusly they fly quite differently & yet have very similar characteristics. Just like 'Brothers' 002 is more precise & slower than 001. It will trick just as easily but is much more graceful. This is not a fault/negative attribute towards 001, in fact I like the quicker style of 001. 001 is more of fast trickster & can combine tricks more quickly than 002. If I decide to enter ballet competition, I would go with 002. It's precision, slow graceful flight, huge usable wind range & radical trick capabilities make it an excellent choice. You could go right from flying some precision figures into a Rotofade or Jacob's Ladder. Extremely versatile. Like I said in my review of 001, the Masquerade has seemingly ended my perfect kite search. Now I just need more time to fly. November 27, 2002 Up Close with Masquerade 002 Frame Set: This kite's Leading edge is framed in Sky Shark P100 rods, lower spreaders are 5pt & upper spreader is a .2300 rod.
