Kites I Wish to Own

December 9, 2002

My bag is almost complete.  The Masquerade has been an excellent addition.  Great for tricks & just pleasurable flying.

Now I want to add the next design by Wayne, the Ronin.

Old Wish list comments, (I didn't want to delete it)

Hmmm.

Well I just received the Psycho.  So now I have covered the kite spectrum & almost have my 'Ultimate Kite Collection'.  My Feather is used on those very low wind days & indoors (haven't flown inside yet, but trying to locate a facility).  The Psycho will be used in winds above 15 mph.  The Gemini is the 'Ultimate Trick Machine'.  My Stiletto is a custom very high quality kite & also very capable of the latest tricks.  I also have a quad line (Revolution) for something different.  And lastly I have a Jazz Pro (beginner kite) to lend out to newbies.

In my collection, I also have a kite from each of the major manufacturers (HQ, Benson, Revolution, Flexifoil & PBSK).  I used to own a Prism Fanatic but was not impressed at all with it's flight, so I sold it.

So what's on my 'Wish List' now?  Hmmm.  The PBSK Warrior comes to mind & the Skyburner 'Heat'.

Also I am seriously considering a SL7, if I can get one used or inexpensive.  Why?  Well I tried one & it is a different flying kite than any other dual line kite.  Also it is definitely an oddity, so on that premise alone I want one in my kite collection.

Another unique kite I am considering is the Utopia.  The Utopia has a unique sail shape & requires a different method to fly then most conventional kites (light touch).  I think I will add one of these kites to my collection in the near future.

So many kites, so little time to fly.  But for now I have made my 'Ultimate Kite Collection', & have enough kites in my bag to master before purchasing the next great kite that comes out.

Then again :-)  maybe I should start collecting sport kite oddities like the SL7 or Utopia.
