DURHAM COVENANT LIFE CHURCH

        This Website has been designed to provide you with a brief introduction to our church community. It is our hope that the information contained on the following pages will help answer some of the questions you may have about who we are and why we exist.

        It was said of the first-century Christians living in Jerusalem that "people in general liked what they saw."(1) One gets the impression when reading the first few chapters of the book of Acts that these new believers stood out as an example of how the power of the Holy Spirit and the teachings of Jesus can change lives. Indeed, the life and witness of these first Christians must have had a profound impact upon the entire city as they shared with their neighbours and friends a new message of hope, healing and a right relationship with God.

        Here at Durham Covenant Life Church, we are working together to build a community of faith where people find that their lives are truly better as a result of following Jesus Christ. Like the first-century believers, we can testify to how the Holy Spirit has changed our lives for the better, and how the good news of the kingdom of God, and His Son, Jesus Christ, continues to make a positive impact upon all that we do and say.

        Through our corporate meetings and smaller gatherings in member's homes, we are working to encourage the growth of  wholesome, godly character in the lives of God's people. Such character is defined by words like: compassion, loyalty, integrity, unselfishness, reliability, honesty, and generosity.

        We ask that you take the time to carefully read through the various sections of this Website. In this way, you will understand something of why we carry such a strong passion to see more and more people born into the kingdom of God.
