How to FLASH your SAMSUNG S300!

Why should you updated your Samsung Firmware? Well, the main reason why you want to do that, is so that you can get the most up to date "software" for your phone. Most of the time, firmware updates would fix some kind of bug on you phone. Click here to download the newest firmware (version S30XXWB4)

The following are instructions on how to update your Samsung S300 Firmware! To flash your phone, you need to use a program called Optiflash! Click here to download it. Once you installed the program... please read the following step-by-step instructions carefully.

1. Download the most up-to-date firmware. This can be found on the cell phone forums such as www.howardforums.com 2. Run the Optiflash program and goto OPTIONS then SELECT PROFILE and make sure the it is set to "default"

3. Go into OPTIONS then SETTINGS then go into the GENERIC tab and make sure your screen looks like the one shown here. Your hardware platform will be customer T1, S300 and check only "Differences Only"

4. Now you want to select your COM port. This should be the port that you plugged your Datacable in. It usually is COM 1. Leave the Max. transfer speed at 115200. That should be fine. 5. Once you are done, click on OK 6.Plug your datacable into the computer if you haven't done so already. And now plug your phone into the datacable. NOTE: you should remove the battery and the SIM card!!!!! 7. Switch the option to D/L on your cable and then plug in the POWER cord!

8. Now what you want to do is OPEN the firmware file that you have downloaded. 9. Once done, click Ok and you will be back to the main screen. Once you have completed the above steps you are now ready to flash. Click on the FLASH button.

9A. If flashing gives you an error, try going back into OPTIONs then SETTINGS and then go into read. Remove all the regions by highlighting them and then click on REMOVE REGION. Then click on FLASH again.
10. The actual flashing will take between 12-20mins depending on the firmware version. Once it is complete. CLOSE the program first and then unplug your SAMSUNG phone. NOTE: if it gives you an error message such as "POWER on Mobile" just unplug the power cord and plug it back in. Don't turn on the power on your phone. 11. When the above steps are done. Unplug your phone from the datacable and put on the battery WITHOUT the SIM card. Enter the following codes onto your S300. Each time you enter the code, the phone will reset and continue to enter the next until you get them all in. 2767MEDIA# 2767FULL# 2767CUST# 2767WAP# 2767STACKRESET# #011100000000# (this code may not do anything, so don't worry about the message if gives you.) 12. Check your firmware by punching in #9999#. If should read the latest firmware version. 13. Turn off your phone, put the SIM card back in and Turn it back on and enjoy!
