Thomas Plomer Trounce

As a boy, Thomas Plomer attended the school of Robert Hooper in Cardiff,Wales and then the grammar school of Mr. Boys in Dalston, London. Hestarted work as a junior clerk in London, living in Walthamstow, Essexand then in 1872, joined the Imperial Bank. From 1888 on, he was a BankManager for the Midland Bank in Essex, managing banks in Waltham Abbey,Waltham Cross and Cheshunt. Later he was a Justice of the Peace inWaltham Abbey, Essex and a District Councillor in 1903. and active as aMason.


William Trounce

William grew up in Breage and Penzance, Cornwall. He was a commercialtraveller in York when he married in 1841. He moved to Cardiff, Wales in1849. There he was an accountant and ship broker.


Mary Rowe

Mary was a School Mistress in Cardiff in 1851.


Henry Glasson Trounce

Henry was a clerk in 1871 with the silk merchant, Charles Candy ofLondon, England.


Susan Glasson Trounce

Susan lived with her parents in London (Dalston), England while sheworked for the London Missionary Society.


Thomas Reginald Trounce

Thomas was a Lieutenant in World War One in the R.M.A.C. He resided inCheshunt, Hertfordshire where he was a doctor up to the 1960's. As aboy, he attended the Holt House School in Cheshunt.


John Reginald Trounce

John became a professor of Clinical Pharmacology at Guy's Hospital,London and for a time was sub-dean of the medical school. He wasresponsible for writing a textbook- Clinical Pharmacology for Nurses(1994). After retirement, he did work there on a part-time basis. Hishobbies include gardening and golf.


Ruth Marion Durston

Ruth was a nurse at Guy's Hospital, London.


Stephen John Trounce

Stephen is a Computer Engineer and lives in Sevenoaks, Kent, England.


David Quartermaine Trounce

David was a consultant Pediatrician at hospitals in Harlow and Epping inEssex. Retired in 1984, he resides in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Hishobbies include oil and watercolour painting.

Thomas farmed "Tregew" in Feock, Cornwall, England and then "Trevena",near Breage. In the 1841 Census for Madron/Penzance, he was listed as aYeoman, living in Chapel Place, Clare St., Penzance. In the 1851 Census,he was a retired farmer living in Breage.


Anne Trounce

Anne was the last remaining Trounce to live in Breage. In 1841, she wasan apprentice Dressmaker in Penzance. In 1851, she was a Dressmakervisiting the family of Sarah Williams in Breage. She was a Shopkeeperthere in 1861 and 1871 and by 1881 she was retired and receiving rent,while living with a friend, Sarah Lembry. In 1891, she was visiting RdSampson in Crowan.
