I have always wanted to put Donald's section on my website and finally, I did! This is someone I've waiting put on my site for quite a while, because there's a great friendship and story with this brother! Two years ago, Donald left Canada to travel the world. Since that time, the community here in Toronto have always asked the question: When will he be back? We miss him too much! Don, we are absolutely glad to have you back brother! Donald has a lot of experience to his credit. He's had one brief association with Lea Salonga when he performed in the Philippines. He's also met Diane Warren and Michael Bolton in person, worked with Jennifer Uy, Tascha Penaloza, Keith Javier, Alex Mozo, ahemm...me! and many others. Currently, he is a member of the Vision 2000 music ministry, where he directs vocals, plays keyboards, sings solo, and even gathers members to produce a CD. All in all, this is a man who has his hands both on the keys and in the studio. I met Donald in 1993 at St. Rose of Lima church, just as I was graduating High School and moving on to college. He's been one of my best friends ever since. I can remember the first time I heard him sing, I was just amzed! He sounded like a professional! Even more so, we both had the same keyboard too--the Korg M1! I first learned about studio recording techniques with Donald. He was very willing to teach me whatever I needed to produce a song. I was amazed with what he showed me! Years later, I built my digital studio and voila--I'm already producing music as well! What I really enjoy about having a studio is not just for recording songs, but to share with others too. Donald plays almost every instrument imaginable; and he plays each one superbly. This man is a Jack-of-all-trades! But what makes Donald so special is his personality and character ethic. He, in my opinion, is one of the nicest people here on earth,. He's performed for charity, organized philantrophic events, and so many other things. He's selfless,always looking a way to put a smile on both your face and your heart. During the summer of 1998, Donald came over to help me record an upbeat song called Young and Good. Alex Mozo had already recorded sections of the song. It was amazing--Donald added more dimension to the song, combined with Alex, Keith Javier, and my singing! Later on, we recorded Remember together with Tascha Penaloza (song clip available in Sights and Sounds section). He is a joy to work with, and a delight to have around. Almost every experience has been humourous and fun with him. The life of every party. He's also a big brother, always there whenever one needs a listen to. Like I mentioned before, he just puts a smile on your face; that's Donald. This is the man. The singer, the writer, the performer, the pianist, the producer, the arranger, the everything. Mostly, Donald is the light of every heart and soul. So many fun experiences. We're glad to have you back Donald. This page is dedicated to you! Welcome home old friend =)
