Jodi Krangle: Bringing songwriters worldwide close to home. This lady can sing! That was my first thought when I checked out Jodi' realAudio samples on her website--The Musesmuse. I had read up the Muses muse in a Canadian Internet Directory in its music section. Seeing that there a few songwriter resources on the World Wide Web, this one site peaked my curiousity. Jodi can sing any style--be it rock, contemporary, R&b, any style and sing it with passion. My personal favorite was "Too soon forever". It's very etheral, strikes with so much meaning and vision. What I really enjoyed most, however, was that Jodi's music has that Canadian touch. Being a Canadian born Filipino (or Canasian), I had grown up listening to Canadian and American musicians, but it always seems that the Canadian touch always brings it home to me. That's why I highly recommend Jodi's site--the music just feels like the heart of home (I know, that might not always be the intention--I'm just expressing a personal experience; it will be different for everyone else!). Her website is one of the best designed resource sites anywhere and it has so much information and interactivity. Just recently, it recieved a cool site award--way to go Jodi! If you would like to learn about songwriting or about the industry, check out the Muses muse by clicking the link at the bottom of this page. I always like to recommend this site to all my friends who love to songwrite. Jodi is always willing to help--and she's one of the many friendly website moderators I've ever known. (Hey, Jp--this is the site I was telling you about! Check it out bro! It's all good around da way!) She also has a music group called Urban Tapestry. Believe me, you'll like the songs from this group. Each is written intelligently, touched with human experiences. One song I found intersting (I also found myself tickled) was "Sex and Chocolate." Listen to the song--it's actually got a point there! (click on the link below to visit Urban Tapestry's page!) A fellow Torontonian, i hope to have to honour to work with Jodi in the near future -- She's got a great voice, and like her website, she likes to reach out to offer that special value to a song.
