Vaccines and Pretreatments
Since 1960, there have been tremendous increases in incidence rates
of immune-related diseases (see Books 1 and 2) and problems with
immunological responses to vaccines. lam Many complains about
vaccines (pertussis, gan Lymerix, liv anthrax ano ) have been reported.
Not everyone has problems with any one of the vaccines. Therefore,
it is an individual thing, regarding the immune system. Some
vaccines are more troublesome. Therefore, it also depends on the
vaccine: more exotic more lethal, whole cells or just clones of the
antigen-containing shell, or the number of required shots.
According to the ENL mechanism (see Chapters 2 & 3, Book 2),
stress or intercurrent infection or chemotherapy can cause a
compromised immune system, in the presence of the antigens of
Hansen's bacteria, to over react, leading to inflammation of blood
vessels and tissues. Vaccination or pretreatment is equivalent to
intercurrent infection or chemotherapy respectively.
Result of vaccination (or pretreatment) is dependant on the vaccine
(or pretreatment) and also the functioning of the immune system as
below:
{problems} = {property of vaccine}{status of the immune system}
The product of the two factors, how unsafe is the vaccine and how
serious is the immune system compromised, will determine the
problem of the vaccination.
Deaths and severe neurological complications due to pertussis
vaccination have been reported. gan This is not a surprise,
considering large number of people with compromised immune
system.
Fever and severe pain in joints and muscle after Lymeris
vaccination have been reported. liv People sickened by Lyme vaccine
urge FDA action. Ano The symptoms of the reaction due to lyme
vaccination are very similar to those of the initial stage of Lyme
disease. If Lyme disease is activated by intercurrent infection of B
burgdorferi as stated in Chapter 3, Book 2, then a vaccine
containing parts of the bacteria, such as antigens, should be able to
activate the disease, depending on the dosage of the vaccine and the
immune status of the individual. These observed facts are consistent
with the hypothesis.
Gulf War Syndrome and Statistics
There are many complaints about the anthrax vaccine. The vaccine
is suspected to cause severe skin rashes, chronic bone and joint pain,
autoimmune disorders, thyroid damage, seizures, memory loss,
neurological problems, chronic fatigue, vertigo, and internal and
external lesions. bat, batr Many have left the military because of
anthrax shots. ric A study on UK armed forces indicates a weak link
between the vaccines and ill health after the Gulf War. hot The UK
has too few Gulf War veterans to provide reliable statistics and an
independent study should be conducted in the US.
% with GWS symptoms, given age range, 20 - 35 after vaccination
and pretreatment should be compared with % with similar
symptoms at the same age range without vaccination and
pretreatment. This will show whether the vaccine and the
pretreatments are responsible for GWS. Most of the victims of GWS
are in the US. Therefore, the bulks of the required data are there
too. It needs someone familiar with the bureau of statistics (or
equivalent) and relevant information in the US to process the data.
It is almost certain that anthrax vaccine and the pretreatments were
responsible for activating the syndrome.
Vaccines and pretreatments must have been tested and approved
before use. During the tests, there must have been test subjects with
compromised immune system and ill effects noted, unless the tests
were not thorough or involving too few subjects or some of the
results were ignored. Fabrications of experimental results are very
common in some countries. Many years ago, a fellow-research
student informed this author that he could not repeat a result
published in a paper because the required concentration of the
solution exceeded the solubility of the solute in the solvent at the
temperature specified. Independent studies should be carried out in
different areas by different groups, funded by different
organizations for cross-checking purposes.

Amyloidosis and High Blood Pressure . . . Etc.
Amyloidosis, which is associated with autonomic neuropathy,
inflammatory disorders of unknown aetiology, local or systemic
microbial infections, and malignant neoplasms, such as rheumatoid
arthritis, Hansen's disease, tuberculosis, Hodgkin's, Alzheimer's
and Crohn's diseases, and renal carcinoma, pep may play a role in
high blood pressure. Those amyloid plaques can be deposited almost
anywhere: the internal wall of blood vessels and the heart. pep The
deposits may impede or block the flow of blood. The pumping of the
blood may be affected if the plaques are deposited on and inside the
heart, resulting in arrhythmia. The combination of all these may
cause the blood pressure to rise.
If amyloidosis occurs inside the wall of blood vessels, it may cause
the blood vessels to harden and lose its elasticity, hence cause a
further rise in blood pressure.
Amyloid deposition can also occur on the skin, in the lungs,
urogenital tract, brain, joints, pancreas, linking to diseases such as
Alzheimer's, Creutzfeld-Jakob disease (CJD) and diabetes mellitus.
pep
The relationship of amyloidosis with several diseases is consistent
with the link between Hansen's bacterium and autoimmune diseases
or inflammatory diseases or neurological diseases, based on the
consideration of the variation patterns in Books 1 & 2.

Amyloidosis, Crohn's and Alzheimer's Diseases
According to a report, 80% of the cases of Crohn's disease patients
responded to thalidomide treatments (the reference was not
recorded). The rest 20% may be presumed to be chronic cases.
Thalidomide can prevent overproduction of TNF-alpha. 80% of the
patients' problems may be due to inflammation and the rest due to
mechanical or structural damages, caused by amyloid plaques.
Debates about whether Alzheimer's disease is due to inflammation
or the amyloid deposits on the brain are continuing. In view of the
treatment results of Crohn's disease patients, both may be the
causes. If the pathogen indirectly causing the problems is destroyed,
Alzheimer's and Crohn's diseases may be cured.
Amyloidosis may also play a role in tumour formation, leading to
fibroid and skin cancer.

A New book "Plague Time" by Professor Paul W. Ewald
"The harm caused by a gene reduces its representation in the next
generation in proportion to the negative effects of the gene on the
survival or reproduction of the people who carry it." Ewald wrote.
"If we see chronic diseases that have commonly been causing
damage for a long time, the best bet is that they have infectious
causes." Infection may cause damage directly and as well as through
the inflammation it triggers. Inflammation is usually a clue of
infection. Atherosclerosis, heart disease, cancers, Alzheimer's
disease and impotence are suspected to be caused by infection. A
few bacteria and viruses, associated with the diseases, are listed as
probable causes. Association does not prove causation. The medical
establishment is unwilling to consider research based on infectious
causes because the mind is not prepared.
The arguments based on evolution, presented by Ewald, for
infectious causes of chronic diseases are convincing. Based on
previous works by this author, inflamation and amyloidosis due to
Hansen's bacterium are the most likely causes (see the notes and
comments above and the links below) for the diseases above except
impotence. The human male sexual organ consists of very
approximately a vascular system with control valves. If the valves
do not shut properly, the correct blood pressure cannot be
maintained. What can cause this? The most likely cause or causes
are amyloidosis and inflammation. Inflamation may distort the
valves. Something deposited at the valve seat will cause the valve to
leak. Hansen's bacterium can cause both inflammation and
amyloidosis. What is needed is to plot the curve to show the
variation pattern whether it is consistent with the variation patterns
of those diseases in the previous works but Statistics Canada does
not normally provide number of incidence or incidence rates but
mortalities due to diseases and nobody has died of impotence. One
way to solve the problem is to check for the DNA of Hansen's
bacterium in the patient's biological samples by means of PCR or
mass spectrometric methods.
The establishment may have another reason for not willing to
consider infectious causes for chronic diseases. The media and the
establishment like to convey the impression that these diseases are
not infectious because the society has to find people to take care of
patients of chronic debilitating diseases. They also want to protect
these patients from prejudice and evil, harmful ideas. Fifteen or
twenty years ago, someone suggested in a Toronto paper that these
chronic debilitating diseases might be caused by viral or bacterial
infection. He was venomously attacked the next day in the same
paper for suggesting it by some president of a foundation or society
involving in the care of these patients. Recently there was a TV
programme regarding ALS. In the programme, the statement that
"it is not infectious" was repeated several times. Patients may have
different attitudes. Many readers suffering from these chronic
diseases e-mailed this author and they were quite prepared to
discuss infection as a probable cause. Perhaps they were not
seriously incapacitated and did not need anyone to take care of
them. They just wanted to find a way out of their predicament,
fooling them that it was not infectious would not help them. Patients
are tired of the not-infectious-but-incurable situation. Adopt a
practical approach. Communicate directly with patients/readers.
The establishment will become irrelevant eventually.

Inflammation, Amyloidosis, Fibroid Formation and Bleeding
The variation pattern of the diseases involving the peripheral
vascular system has been dealt with, in Chapter 2, Book 1 and in
Chapter 3, Book 2, implicating Hansen's bacterium. This bacterium
can cause inflammation 43, 44 and amyloidosis. pep If inflammation
occurs, leading to thrombosed blood vessels and genesis of new
blood vessels (see Rethinking Cancer), and if amyloid plaques are
deposited on the same spot, it would look like a fibroid. Perhaps this
is the way fibroid is formed.
If inflammation is severe, the blood vessels (capillaries) may leak,
leading to internal bleeding. If amyloid plaques are deposited in the
wall of the blood vessels (capillaries), it would make it hard and
brittle, and it may break easily. Perhaps this is the cause of internal
bleeding among the elderly.
Other Probable consequences of damaged blood vessels (capillaries)
The organs and systems depend on the vascular system for supply of
nutrients and oxygen and removal of wastes. If parts of the vascular
system are damaged, the relevant organs and systems may be
affected. Damaged neurological systems may lead to neurological
diseases and dementia. Damaged organs (liver, kidneys, pancreas,
intestines) may lead to dysfunction and organ failure. Damaged
glands may lead to endocrine disorders, diabetes, and
hypercalcemia and osteoporosis.

ALS, Gulf War Veterans, AIDS and Asthma
Some suspect that ALS and AIDS are related because of seven HIV-positive cases of ALS-like syndromes. web Gulf War veterans are
almost twice as likely to get ALS than those who did not serve in the
Gulf an (see links and references below). Vaccines and pretreatments
may have activated Gulf War syndrome, in certain cases resulting in
ALS. Some ALS patients complained about asthma on a web board.
This author posted a message, suggesting that ALS and asthma
might be related. A reader sb responded with e-mail, recounting her
experience. This is consistent with the hypothesis proposed, the
correlation in the booklets and the Supplement.
