There is a morass of morose poetry out there, but Firm
Noncommittal, perhaps the only Canadian magazine wholly dedicated to
publishing HUMOUR and LIGHT verse, fills the WHIMSICAL void.
Since 1995, we have published writers who see the
sunshine in the saturnine, whose work is LIGHT, perspicuous and reveals a quickness of
mind about the spiritual or mundane (all themes universal), writing that is characterized
by imagination, ingenuity and/or self-conscious verbal artifice.
In short, we seek writers who "take the utmost
trouble to find the right thing to say and then say it with the utmost levity"
(George Bernard Shaw).
