Information on W.B. Yeats at Stanford
The library with most of the materials on Yeats is the Cecil H.Green Library which is the research library for humanities and social sciences. The Meyer Undergraduate Library also has books by and about Yeats. Where they are in the library is a bit moredifficult to describe. We use two call number systems here, theDewey system and the Library of Congress System. Yeats materials inthe Library of Congress system are *mostly* in the PR5906 classification. Our older books on Yeats use the Dewey system andwould be in the 821.7 areas (which are actually in two differentbuildings--some in an Auxilliary Library on the edge of campus andsome in an extention of Green here in the central part of campus). When I did a very quick search for Yeats books, I found 459; thereare 6 journals that are about Yeats (that is, the topics of *alltheir articles* are in some way related to Yeats). There would alsobe a lot of material in general literary journals which would fallinto the 800s and PR classification.
