| I put Ginger down so I could check the Lounge for neatness. It was a room large enough to hold the whole quilting group around a quilt frame. The Library was located just off the Lounge, and could be used by non-quilting guests as a sitting room during meetings.
I was very shocked to see a wild plant sitting on my sewing basket. It was a Monkshood, which I planned to check in Grandma's Book of Symbols when I had more time.
After dinner, I returned to the Lounge to wait for the Castlefield Quilting Circle. They arrived about 7:30 p.m., exchanged charm squares, blocks, and gossip. Then we worked at the frame (with Ginger sometimes sitting in the middle of the quilt) until about 10:30 p.m.
After saying good-bye to my quilting friends, I tidied the room and made my way back upstairs. When I reached the balcony on the second floor, Ginger left me and ran to an open doorway. This door was supposed to be kept locked since it led to the turret tower, which was not in use. Ginger disappeared up the dark stairway, so reluctantly, I had to follow her. She could get into too much trouble in the Turret.
