Think About It

Jesus Christ was NOT killed. The Romans did not kill him; the Jews did not kill him.

Here's a staggering thought:

If Jesus Christ had not voluntarily laid down his life, he would still be walking around on this earth with us today.1

WHY?

Christ was sinless, pure, incorruptible. Death was not in him. Here's proof:

Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin.
I Peter 1:18-19 18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
Christ willingly laid down his life. He had the power to lay it down and to take it up again.

John 10:17-18 "The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life--only to take it up again.
No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 10:14-15 I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me--
just as the Father knows me and I know the Father--and I lay down my life for the sheep.
