Star Tours
Attraction Information
This is the entrance to Star Tours at the Disney/MGM Studios in Orlando, Florida. The outside of the attraction recreates the Ewok village on Endor from Star Wars:Return of the Jedi. Note the giant At-At walker from Star Wars:The Empire Strikes Back and near the Imperial Landing pad on the Endor moon in Star Wars:Return of the Jedi that greets you as you enter the attraction. You must be at least three years old and 40 inches tall to ride.
Star Tours is the based on the popular movie trilogy, Star Wars. This thrill ride is similar to Body Wars in that it is a flight simulator ride. Your pilot is a droid, and it's his first time too. Guests are seated in a one of the 6, 40-passenger "Star-Speeder 3000's." The Star-Speeder 3000's are a kind of motion ride in which you see a stunning film and your Star-Speeder 3000 will move in a motion that will give you the effect that you are really flying. This ride features: The Death Star, Tie Fighters, Star Destroyers, X-Wings, and lots and lots of Comets.
