Disneys Toy Story Parade
Attraction Information
A military style fanfare blares through the speakers and you hear the voice of Sarge, one of the Green Army Men, barking orders to his commandos. Getting the parade route set, the army men lead the parade and a big unit depicting the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima arrives, but instead of an American flag, it's a Toy Story flag and is hoisted by green army men, Sarge stands behind them and shouts commands.
A group of red monkeys get out, I suppose they're a Barrel of Monkeys but they look like "Jungle Book" leftovers. Oh well......they're gone in a sec to make room for Hamm and Mr. Potato Head who are playing cards atop a stack of board games. The monkeys are taking the hapless spud apart.
Soon, Slinky Dog comes dancing along, stretching about 12 feet long followed by a bunch of aliens and Buzz Lightyear, standing atop his spaceship. He tries to communicate with Star Command from 24 feet up....pretty cool, though there was supposed to be some smoke coming out of the spaceship and we had no smokage! Two green army men show up with the baby monitor, Sarge's voice emanating from it. The last unit features Woody standing atop a huge pile of blocks and other toys along with Rex, Mike, Snake and Etch A Sketch. Woody greets everyone with Mike's help and tries to teach Rex how to roar. Etch a Sketch sits on the back and alternates messages of Bye and The End. The rope that the lovely parade guards carry to close off the parade is a jump rope.
