What we do

Lisa is an artist and illustrator and a museum technician. But mostly she's a mother right now and that doesn't give her much time for anything else!

Glen is an Independant Computer Consultant. His background includes Project Management, Facilitation, Information Resources and Accounting. He doesn't consider himself to be a machine type but he does work in LANSA on the IBM AS/400 and in several languages on the P/C. Mostly, he considers himself to be a people person, helping others to achieve their business needs efficiently and effectively. In addition, he also has two companies :

Dafydd Raymond Alexandre is their three year old son and one of the reasons neither of them do much of what they're trained for ... Solenne Rhiannon is the brand new daughter and the other reason neither get to do what they're trained for .... Hey, it was hard on Daddy too!

Thalia just sort of lies around and does cat type things. Thalia is a 5- pound tabby-tort domestic short hair. We used to have Cleo, a 10+ pound diabetic Maine Coon but she passed away during the "YEAR FROM HELL".

Where we live

We live in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. For those of you who don't know it. It's located near Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario (one of the Great Lakes). Check out the web pages.

Our Interests

Well, we don't really get to indulge ourselves much any more but some of our interests are:

Science Fiction and Fantasy Art

Well, actually, Lisa does it and Glen admires it. Both also collect. Lisa mostly sells her work at Science Fiction and Fantasy Conventions, although she has done some commision work. She has also done other illustration work for Paradigm Books and for Bradley Museum amoung others.

Writing

This is Glen's turn to actually do something. He writes mostly short stories in the areas of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Mystery. For some reason he hasn't done a lot in the last two years or so. He did find time, however, to write an article for the August, 1996 issue of Vista - the ASQC newsletter. (link to come).

Science Fiction and Fantasy Books and Movies

Movies are now in the form of videos. For some reason getting out to a movie with the little one just hasn't seemed like such a good idea. Books on the other hand ....

Science Fiction and Fantasy Conventions

Dafydd has been attending SFF Cons since he was six months old!!! It's one of the only social outings where all three can attend. Solenne hasn't had a chance yet but we're expecting her to beat that record.

Klingon Fen

Yes, we're members of K.A.G. Kanada. Glen was Naval Intelligence Officer for Battle Station Morath. You might try visiting the Battle Station Morath Communications Centre. Then he was Naval Intelligence Officer for the Steel Fiist Fleet. He is now Naval Intellegence to the Mailed Glove squadron. Lisa has contributed art to the Marching Orders newsletter, then was the official artist to the Steel Fist Fleet and is now official artist to the Mailed Glove Squadron. They are both Marine Lieutenants.
They are also both members of the KIDC - the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corp. Glen is the security supervisor for the Toronto sector and Lisa is the assistant security supervisor.

Crafts

Glen has been known to do woodworking - including building a Jam Cupboard from scratch without a pattern. Lisa is one of those rare artists who is able to create in both 2 and 3 dimensions. She has sold her crafts at fairs, on commision, and in a few retail outlets.

Raising our son (and daughter too, now).

Now you know what takes most of the time ... and why the other interests tend to slide. Dafydd is a time consuming, headache producing, pain in the xxx initiating absolutely incredible JOY. His sense of humour is such that he can do something he shouldn't - and then he smiles his little imp smile and forget being angry. In short he makes it all worthwhile. Solenne is so new we're not over the shock yet.
