Foster Hewitt
1902 - 1985


Pioneer in Canadian sportscasting. He was the "voice of hockey" for 56 years. It was during his first broadcasts that he coined the famous line of hockey "He shoots, He scores!"

Also a businessman, Foster Hewitt owned Toronto's radio station CKFH (the FH stands for Foster Hewitt). He was also the vice-president of CFTO-TV and part owner of the Vancouver Canucks.
