HR25 History
![]()
The
HR25 was designed by George Hinterhoeller in the late 1960's as a
larger version of the Shark 24. This is evident in the basic
design of the boat. Many people have mistaken 'Odyssey', my
HR25, for a modified Shark. True Shark fans would never
make that mistake. The boat was originally built by
Hinterhoeller in the first 2-3 years of production and thereafter
constructed by C&C Yachts. To date, I have not been
able to determine the total quantity of boats produced.
'Odyssey' is hull number "55" and was built in
1970.
As both a
fun and fast boat, the HR25 is a perfect weekend cruiser and club
racer for the novice to the experienced yachtsman. Double
click the images to the left to see pictures of 'Odyssey' in
action. I have included a basic diagram of the
boat's layout as well.
If anyone can shed more light, let me know.
