Will of Philip Ira Gallinger This is the last Will and Testament of me Philip Ira Gallinger of the Township of Finch in the County of Stormont, Farmer, made this sixth day of March A.D. 1924. I revoke all former wills or other testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made and declare this only to be and contain my last will. I also give and bequeath to my wife Annie Gallinger for and during the remainder of her natural life or so long as she remains my widow, my farm in the Township of Finch in the County of Stormont, being composed of the East half of the West half of Lot number twelve in the First Concession of the aforesaid Township and from and immediately after her decease or second marriage said real estate shall become the property of my son Hercy Gallinger, subject however to the legacies in favour of my daughter Ella May Putney and my grandson Gordon Putney as hereinafter mentioned. I also give and bequeath to my son Hercy Gallinger all farm implements and machinery which I may own at the time of my death. I will and direct that my daughter Ella May Putney and my grandson Gordon Putney be entitled to reside in the house on the hereinbefore described lands so long as my said wife resides thereon and shall be entitled to the sole use and control of not less than two bedrooms in the said house. I will and direct that my funeral expenses be paid by my son Hercy Gallinger and should my said son neglect or refuse to pay such funeral expenses he shall not be entitled to any benefits under this my will. I give and bequeath to my said daughter Ella May Putney the sum of one thousand dollars and to my grandson Gordon Putney the sum of Five Hundred dollars such legacies to be paid by my said son Hercy Gallinger within three months after the death or second marriage of my wife, and I make the payment of the said legacies a charge upon the real estate hereinbefore devised to my said son Hercy Gallinger. All the rest and residue of my property both real and personal I give and bequeath to my said wife Annie Gallinger absolutely. I nominate and appoint my said wife Annie Gallinger and my son Hercy Gallinger to be executrix and executor of this my will.
