Work on the E-2 was nearly complete when this photo was taken in mid - May, 1999. Rusted sheet metal has been replaced and the unit painted in the traditional black, orange & maroon "Hiawatha" scheme. All that remained when this shot was made was to rebuild the roof top gear and pantographs.
