About Applets on This Site

      applets on this site belong to three categories:

1. Elementary Math.
   These applets show the functionality of math java libraries being developped. Libraries are supposed to be used by Java programers.
2. Configurable Applets.
   These applets are intended to be used by HTML programers and WEB page designers.
3. System Tests and Checks.
   These applets are intended to be used by end users for testing their Java virtual machine and runtime environment for available features.

All applets need virtual machine version 1.1 or better to run. These machines comes with MSIE4 or better, Netscape Navigator4.5 or better and can be also downloaded from Sun Microsystems(See this page ). Applets on pages marked as Java 2 can run only if Java virtual machine 1.2 or better and Java Runtime Enviroment 1.2 or better from Sun Microsystems are present on the computer. Please adjust your sound card mixer wave input and volume to be able to hear audio clips played by some applets.
As users with obsolete browsers can not profit by accessing WEB pages on this site, I also do not hesitate to use limited subset of Cascading Stylesheets standard for HTML page formatting.
