2000-2001 AWARDS



Most Valuable Player: Matt Christie
Awarded to the player voted most valuable to the Pickering Panthers during the 2000-2001 season. Matt Christie led the team in scoring with 73-points in 49-games (22-goals, 51-assists), and was selected in the 2nd round of the OHL Priority Draft.

Brad Shearer Memorial Award: Doug Carr
Awarded to the player who shows leadership with the team on the ice, in the dressing room, and in the community. Doug Carr finished his final season with the Panthers registering 37-points in 48-games (8-goals, 29-assists), was selected to the OHA All-Star team, and was a member of the Panthers Eastern Conference winning team in 1998-1999.

Boyer Cup Award: Mike Andreoff & Matt Christie
At the end of each home game, the Boyer Cup 3-Stars are selected. Points are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd star selections - and at the end of the season, the Panther with the most points is selected as the Boyer Cup Champion. Mike Andreoff wins his 2nd Boyer Cup, finishing the year with 2-shutouts, and a G.A.A. just over 3. Matt Christie shares the award with Mike Andreoff - his 2nd team award for this season.
