Game-Five
St. Michael's-4 @ Pickering-3
St. Michael's Wins Best-of-7 Series 4-1

The Panthers fell to the St. Michael's Buzzers 4-games-to-1, but left after giving a valiant effort and holding their heads high. In one of the best games played at the Pickering Recreation Complex this season, the Panthers were defeated 4-3. In the dying minutes JOHN BUSCEMA nearly tied the contest, but his quick shot rattled off the cross-bar. The Panthers then peppered the St. Mike's goal with several shots, but as it was throughout the series, didn't get the favourable bounce. Time ran out on game-four, and the season. KYLE AITKEN, MATT GARISTO & DARRYL LLOYD scored for the Panthers - for Garisto, it was his 3rd goal in 5-games. Goaltender MIKE ANDREOFF was solid in net, stopping 26-shots, with each of the Buzzer goals coming off a pretty play - or a tip in front.

After the game, despite the rough play in games 1-2-and-4, and the two incidents of equitment damaging by the Buzzers, the Panthers left the ice as sportsmen - taking part in the traditional hand-shakes with their opponents, with salutes coming from the large crowd on hand...
