For me, the wilderness is synonymous with peace, which is curious in that the wilderness isn't always such a quiet & safe place. Having to race to shore and take cover while a vicious storm passes--raising the waters, smashing trees, drenching everything--can be a stressful event. Yet there is something peaceful in that. The fact that it's nature, not a man made chaos, redeems it.
