Kevin's Place on the Web

Last updated on March 09, 2003

You have reached the home page of Kevin Brewer. I have an MBA with an area of specialty in finance which I earned at the M. G. DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, in Hamilton. Since graduation I have been employed at the university as; an instructional assistant, a research assistant, and a sessional lecturer teaching several courses in the Finance and Business Economics area.

A few years ago I bought my first digital camera, a Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart C30 digital camera. I have since upgraded to a Kodak DC4800, though I don't have a link for that at the moment. I have taken quite a few pictures in the Hamilton area, including the various waterfalls that flow over the escarpment here. Check out the photo albums below.

Photo Albums
Note: to be able to fit a reasonable number of photos in the albums, I have reduced the size quite a bit. The HP has a resolution of 872x1152 and the Kodak has a resolution of 2160x1440. If you would like to see a full size version of any of these photos E-mail me at kbrewer@idirect.com.
  • Red Hill Valley: a park in Hamilton that includes both Albion and Buttermilk Falls as well as a scenic area around the creek itself.
  • Albion Falls: where the Red Hill Creek crosses the escarpment.
  • Rattray Marsh: a conservation area in Mississauga that I found when I was teaching an off campus course.
  • The Beach Strip: which connects Hamilton and Burlington and separates Lake Ontario from Hamilton Harbour. The pictures were taken in the park on the Burlington side.
  • Tiffany Falls: this small waterfall is located in Ancaster... which is now part of Hamilton.. The conservation area that it is in can be reached from a parking lot off highway 2.
  • Webster's Falls: a larger waterfall with a nice park in Flamborough... which is now part of Hamilton.
  • Iroquoias Heights Falls: a small waterfall that is quite well hidden. The view from the crest is obscured by a large number of trees since the sides of the gorge are quite sloped. There is no path down, but the slope and number of trees makes for an easy climb.
